Executive Director's Special Message
In this time, when so many Christian schools have been forced to close their doors, or reduce the scope of their program; the 2019-2020 school year will mark the fourth straight year of significant growth for Lanham Christian School. In the last three years, LCS enrollment has increased by almost 27%. For the 2019-2020 school year, we are on track for an additional 12% increase in enrollment. We are humbled and thankful for the trust that our families have placed in us, and the faithfulness of God over our ministry for the last 42 years.
While providing great educational value to our families, we have built a strong college preparatory academic program that flows out of our intentional discipleship ministry to Christian families. We are making a significant impact in the academic, social and spiritual development of our students, which has led to families choosing to keep their children in our program year after year. For the 2019-2020 school year almost 92% of our current students have already re-enrolled, bringing great stability to our program.
In my ten years as the executive director of Lanham Christian School, we have certainly had our share of challenges, but in both hardship and blessing we have remained singularly focused upon the mission that God has called us to. While we rejoice in National Honor Society inductions, college acceptances and Back-to-Back Basketball State Championships, it is not what defines us. Our ministry is defined by a community that invests themselves in disciplining our students for the glory of God. That is who we are . . . that is what we do.
Randall S. Burr, Lanham Christian School Executive Director
