Learn By Doing

We desire to facilitate the development of each student in a manner that is consistent with God’s purpose and plan. On a spiritual level this begins with a personal relationship with Christ and continues as students learn from the Word of God and gain understanding of the gifts, talents and ablilites that God has given to them. On a social level this involves the practical implementation of a Christian worldview, which is gained through instruction and following the example of Godly behavior modeled by faculty and staff. On an academic level, it involves the student reaching their full educational potential through the development of the necessary academic skill set to achieve educational goals. At the heart of the Student Development Program is a focus on making disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is our desire to partner with like-minded parents/families in the development of their students.

National honor society & National junior honor society

NHS (9th-12th Grade) & NJHS (7th-8th Grade)

The National Honor Society and the National Junior Honor Society are prestigious organizations that recognize well-rounded students who excel academically and display leadership, character, and a heart of service. Like NHS, NJHS is a distinctive multifaceted learning experience that provides a solid and meaningful foundation for life. Membership in the Lanham Christian chaper of the National Honor Society & National Junior Honor Society provides each individual the opprotunity to grow spiritually, to take up the mantle of leadership within the LC student body, and to serve others both within and outside the LC community.

αλφα Leadership development

Alpha, is a leadership seminar designed to develop Godly characteristics of influence within a core group of students at Lanham Christian. Students are chosen for the program by the administration based on their exemplary academic standing or because of leadership/Studenr Government positions already held. Successful completion of this course will enable students to hold upper level student leadership positions at LC, positively impact their admittance to the LC chapter of the National Honor Society, be noted on each student’s official LC 9th-12th grade transcript, and provide a wealth of training designed to impact their world for the Kingdom.

The LCS Reading room is a fun and interactive way to keep kiddos busy and make reading more fun. Our amazing librarian Ms. Chambers, created a Read- Aloud Reading Time called THE READING ROOM.

This is a great place for your student to have a fun and exciting literary experience, and learn how to do a cool activity that goes along with the story.
